Colourful night club boss, Akeem Shodehinde spent his last days in solitude – and this is authoritative.
Except for a relative, identified as Enbe but more popularly known as IB, who was on hand to attend to this and that need, the man who loved to surround himself with the laughter and bustle of friends, family and associates was all alone.
He was said to have sent every one packing – including domestic staff.
Information revealed that the situation was such that as at the last month of his life, the only regular caller at the place he called home in Victoria Island, Lagos was a health care worker who attends to him.

Shodehinde in the course of battle to stay alive had travelled to India for medical help.
The treatment had cost him a kidney.
He reportedly returned home not entirely finished with the health program that would have completely cured him and kick started habits the doctors warned him against- smoking and drinking.
The big spender told off family members that attempted to force him to quit.
Not entirely back to his old self, his moves to resuscitate business place, Movida didn’t pan out as plotted.
He was forced to close shop on the premise of looking after his health.
Without a seamless source of revenue to at least keep up pretence of his high flyer lifestyle, things started coming apart with the man who redefined the night club business.
In yet another attempt at a launch back, he returned to Gambling- his recurrent arch heels to hit jackpot money to travel out again as for medical care.
The step turned out ill fated from the word go.
