It is no longer news that Grace Olowofeyeku has sold off the ASCON Oil founded by late husband George Enenmoh.
George who incorporated Ascon Oil in December 1984 and made some major wins in the downstream sector of the Oil and Gas industry with the company died in the Bellview Airlines flight 210 crash of October 22, 2005.
Enenmoh ‘s widow – Grace who is also a major player in the operations of the company assumed the position of Group Managing Director (GMD) and Chief Executive Officer of Ascon Oil Group.
She strived to keep the company going and secured emotional balance in the marriage to Bankole Olowofoyeku, an accountant and contractor for Ascon Oil in the bid to achieve this.
But the fresh revelation has it that things didn’t work and Grace Olowofeyeku has sold Ascon Oil.
According to the news breaker, thecapital.ng ‘’ Details are still sketchy as per the identity of the buyer(s) but the sale is a pointer to the fact that Mrs. Enemoh had reached her tether’s end and had let go of the company’’.
The sale of Ascon comes after an explosive by Grace Olowofeyeku in which she claimed amongst other things that ‘’ “It is by the grace of God that we have not totally shut down. Government has been lacking the political will to allow open pricing of petroleum products. Subsidy retention has been a great constraint on our business.”
According to thecapital.ng although the role the Ascon boss’ new husband in the sale remains sketchy, the children – five – she birthed by late better-half Enenmoh are ‘’happy’’ over the development.
