Some of the states in Nigeria have been warned to prepare for flash floods in the next three days.
The warning has it that moderate to heavy rainfalls can transform into flash floods in states that include Gombe, Yobe, Kebbi, Niger, FCT, Plateau, Adamawa, Taraba, Kwara, Oyo, Lagos, Ondo, Ogun, Sokoto, Zamfara, Katsina, Kaduna, Kano, Jigawa, and Bauchi.
Others listed in the warning issued by the Nigeria Meteorological Agency (NIMET) on Tuesday, August 25, 2021, include Edo, Delta, Bayelsa, Cross River, Akwa Ibom, Benue, Enugu, Ebonyi, Imo, Anambra, Abia, and River.
The agency threw in the added warning that possibilities of flash floods are will be more on Bridges, roads, settlements, and farmlands.
