This compelling South African dystopian thriller is set after airborne dementia known as The Shred leaves humans unable to remember their identity, roaming like lost and dangerous animals.

Nigerian Idol

Nigerian Idol Season 7 started on Sunday, February 6; and it has been nothing short of the best, the worst, and the funniest. While some contestants thrilled the audience with their performances, others only reminded us why their singing should start and end in the bathroom or in a comedy show. The fun and surprise don’t appear to come from the show’s contestants alone; its panel of judges also promises to be a delight.

Multiple award-winning singers, D’banj and Simi left the audience in stitches from their comical reactions and together with Obi Asika from the previous season, impressed the audience with their professional takes. The new season definitely started with a ‘banger’ (in D’banj’s voice) and will be HOTTER than previous seasons.

You can watch all the live action every Sunday on Showmax. You can also watch previous episodes on the streaming platform.

Bruno vs Tyson

This historical match features the sensational highs and lows of two of the most iconic black boxers in the world. One hero, One villain, this story centers on the epic battle between America’s ‘baddest man on the planet’ Iron Mike Tyson and Britain’s gentle giant, Frank Bruno and their connected lives.

Explored from Frank Bruno’s angle, the story features other boxing legends such as Lennox Lewis, Buster Douglas and others. Directed by Oscar-winning filmmaker, Kevin Macdonald, it also shows the good, bad, and dark side of the sport. In a brutally blunt meeting, both boxers openly deal with their inner demons. Boxing lovers are going to have a field day with this one.

Euphoria S2

Zendaya stars as Rue Bennett, a teenage addict trying to find hope while balancing the pressures of love, loss and addiction in this ground-breaking hit series. In her circle are Jules, Nate, Christ, Cassie and Kat, each with their own teenage problems and struggles to make sense of their futures in Season 1.

With a new key character and a storyline that is slowly unfolding, Season 2 looks to be every bit as controversial as the first and fans are as ‘euphoric’ about it as ever. Catch new episodes every Monday on Showmax, or have a binge-fest this weekend to catch up.

Single Kiasi

The Original series follows the lives of three friends – Sintamei, Mariah, and Rebecca – as they deal with careers, relationships, and marriages and every curve life throws at them. It also shows the beauty of the friendship these women share even as their worlds crumble away.

The 13-part drama explores the relatable travails of Kenyan women – brilliant and career-focused Sintamei who doesn’t know her perfect marriage is cracked, sassy Mariah who has a taste for luxuries and embodies the modern-day slay queen, and humble Rebecca, a housewife and mother of two except her partner of nine years refuses to officially marry her.

C.B. Strike: Lethal White

A mentally disturbed young man wants Cormoran Strike to look into a murder he thinks he witnessed as a child. At the same time, Robin Ellacott goes undercover to investigate the blackmail of a Member of the British Parliament.

These separate events bring both detectives together even if they knock heads over personal issues. But there is no time to mull over these issues as a frightening visit from a potential client sets them to work on the reports of a strangled child. With this new case, the duo is tasked with going undercover in the House of Commons. This is an adrenaline-pumping limited series that will leave you wondering what’s next at every point.
