Head Of Service Oyo- Ita Quietly Resumes Office After Resigning Over Alleged N3billion Fraud

The Head of Civil Service of the Federation Mrs Winifred Oyo-Ita is back in her office.

This development comes barely a week after she resigned her appointment in the face of an alleged N3billion bribery, duty tour allowance falsification and fraud case.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission grilled Oyo-Ita over the alleged fraud and she resigned in the face of the public heat that stemmed from interests in the case.

But President Buhari reported rejected Oyo-Ita’s resignation which was attributed to pressure from family and friends.

After staying away from the office for about a week, the embattled Head of Service reportedly resumed office in the evening yesterday, (August 21, 2019).

Societynow.ng gathered Director of Communication in the office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Mrs Olawunmi confirmed the development to national newspaper Punch.

Olawunmi told punch ‘’ “After leaving the Presidential Villa where she witnessed the swearing-in, she came straight to the office(Yesterday). Today,(August 22) she has resumed in her office again.”
