Growing Fears Over Gov Aregbesola In Osun State

Details coming to fore have it that there is a growing fear over Governor Rauf Aregbesola in his domain, Osun state.

And it is said to be centred around antics he would employ to install his successor.

The outgoing Governor is said to be facing deep seethed opposition in and out of his political party, All Progressives Congress.

Sentiments are said to have been so wiped up against him that, who ever he endorses immediately faces passionate opposition as a result of “transferred aggression”.

And the governor is said to be in the know of this development and was orchestrating an “alternative strategy” with silent influencer Lomi Abiola, until the unexpected death of the latter scuppered things.

And “things” now appear fallen apart for the chief executive officer of Osun state.

Though he has maintained an “air of indifference” as aspirants after aspirants – within his party – express ambitions to succeed him, sources claim there are fears he is plotting an extreme strategy to install a candidate of his choice.

“He understands there are strong movements to stop him from installing a candidate of choice but he his bent on achieving this…and is currently protecting his agenda by seemingly staying aloof, the fear is that he might explore a do or die tactics that would greatly weaken the chances of the party in the upcoming gubernatorial election” a source stated.

Societynow gathered amongst stakeholders in Osun APC, this fear is real and growing, but serious contenders are said to be already working on way out.

Those with great conviction in their ambition, especially the aspirant widely known as KRAD, are said to working as if they are independent candidates.

“At least I know that of the man called KRAD, from what I can piece together…he is working at amassing support in manner that is beyond party’s popularity and in such a way that perception about him would soar beyond whatever ill winds that may come from machinations within his party” an insider stated.

“And I think for any serious contender, that is the way forward as fears over any possible extreme move by Aregbesola grow” another source opined.
