Gripping Sadness Grows As News Of Madam Tax, Nike Disu’s Death 24hrs After Birthday Spreads

The sadness continues to grow along with the knowledge of the death.

Madam Tax, Nike Disu, the well known Director at the Lagos Inland Revenue Service is no more.

She died 24hrs after celebrating her birthday.

Nike well loved by friends and admired by many succumbed to breast cancer on Monday September 4 2017.

Her death tragically comes barely a month after her husband’s death.

The deceased Mr Disu reportedly slumped and died before help came.

As news of her death spreads, there is growing gripping sadness.

“Nike is well loved, the tragedies that befell her against the background of how well she related with people only further endeared her to many” a source stated.

Some of the burdens she bore before she breathed her last was tragic death of a brother-in-law, Mr. Tajudeen Disu, the Managing Director of the Lekki Free Trade Zone.

He was‎ shot dead during a clash between mobile police officers and youth of Okunraiye community in Lagos about two years ago(October 12, 2015). Few months after, her father, Pa. Elkanah Olatunji Kobnah Williams died.

“But in all, these, despite suffering from breast cancer she remained strong and didn’t take her pains out on any one…rather she proved a shoulder to lean on for many” a source stated.

Testimonies of good deeds such as this are what evokes gripping sadness about her death societynow learned.

The deceased was positioned to become Chairman of the Lagos Tax Service after former occupier of the seat Tunde Fowler was appointed as Chairman of the Federal Inland Revenue Service.
