A mixed of gripping emotions recently played out at the same spot.

Some people lost their homes, properties while others became home and land owners.

This was the spectacle that played out on Thursday December 29 2016.

Repossessed lands reportedly belonging to former president Olusegun Obasanjo were sold off.

Sources disclosed the lands situated inside Greenland Estate, Ota Ogun state were clandestinely sold off by land grabbers

and many of the acquirers had erected structures on large percentage of the lands before the former President got wind of what was on.

‘’It became a legal issue and after a bit of impasse, all parties involved agreed to settle out of court’’ a source stated.

The option agents of the former President came up was for those who bought from the ‘’land grabbers’’ to reacquire the lands.

Different fees were pegged.

‘’a plot of Virgin land N2m,a plot of land with structures N1m, portion of land with shops N200,000’’ a source disclosed.

Sources disclosed the ‘’property owners’’ were given first option of purchase.

The transaction date was December 29 2016.
And also on hand were interested buyers ready to snap up the properties of those unable to meet up with the fixed payments.

‘’and they did…many of those that came to buy were pastors from Winners chapel…their church members identified them, of course other people came as well’’ a source explained.
Societynowng.com gathered that the properties are prime targets for workers and pastors at the Living Faith Church Worldwide led by Bishop David Oyedepo.

It is about fifteen minutes drive to Canaan Land the place of worship for the ministry’s members.

‘’a funny scenario even played out, a member of the church claimed she had written to her pastors for monetary support to be able to reacquire her property before the day and they kept telling her approval was pending and she never got the support only to see her pastors on site on December 29, there to

buy properties for selves…she was fortunate to get her monetary support from a friend’’ a source narrated.

Soicetynowng.com learnt the December 29 Greenland estate transaction was conducted in the presence of fierce looking individuals, mostly in civilian attires portrayed as protecting the interest of former president Olusegun Obasanjo.

Sources confirmed while new buyers paid and congratulated selves on their new acquisitions, initial owners unable to retain their properties wail in anguish over their losses.
