Governor Akpabio In Fresh Controversy Over N3b Relationship That Gives Spog Boss, Omokore First Option On State Contracts!

Godswill Akpabio, the Governor of Akwa Ibom state is in a fresh controversy.

And the latest affair pertain’s to what is tagged ‘his N3b romance ‘ with Oil baron and boss of business concern, Spog Oil and Gas.

Insiders revealed during his campaign for office, the state head man received a N3b ( three billion naira) support from money bag Omokore- but with a special arrangement, the low profile nigerian reserves right of first option on all state contracts that have to do with businesses his firms deals in.

Insiders revealed this arrangement is beginning to ruffle feathers in Akwa Ibom state- especially among opposition within and outside the governor’s party.

‘The arrangement between the duo is now being interpreted as selling the state for personal gains by Akpabio’ a source disclosed.

Another explained ‘ the opposition are especially embolden by the fact that Akpabio is not eligible for another term… a fact that is increasingly fuelling the growing controversy’.

Insiders revealed that talks of writing petitions to relevant authorities on allegations of abuse of office and alleged fraud have started making the rounds.

Mr Omokore, along with partner Kola Aluko were part of recent national outcry over a N59tr Fraud in the Oil industry.

Prior to this fresh controversy, state administrator Akpabio had earned public condemnation over series of actions including using state resources to acquire Car gifts and sponsor 28 guests to the Dubai wedding of musician Tuface (innocent Idibia). Also doling out N1m each to party chairmen for ‘lunch’.
