Gov Nyesom Wike Refuses To Recognise Minister Rotimi Amaechi At Reception For Acting President Yemi Osinbajo

According to disclosures made by Senator Magnus Abe, the governor of Rivers state Nyesom Wike refused to accord his predecessor and Minister of the federal republic of Nigeria, Rotimi Amaechi proper respect during a reception for acting president Yemi Osinbajo.

Osinbajo visited Rivers state as part of the federal government’s efforts in engaging stakeholders in the Niger Delta regions to see through agenda for the zone.

Magnus at a related event today claimed, Governor Wike failed to recognise powerful politician in the state and Minister Rotimi Amaechi at the event organised by the state government yesterday.

‘’he didn’t recognised his predecessor who was on seat’’ Senator Abe asserted.

The Senato is a member of ruling All Progressives Congress like acting president Osinbajo and Minister Amaechi.

Governor Wike is a chieftain of opposition People’s Democratic Party.

Senator Abe monitored by societynowng.com during a live transmission of Rivers state chapter of APC’s interaction with the acting President earlier today also alleged, Gov Wike purposely prevented members of the APC and their sympathisers from attending the ‘’ stakeholders’’ engagement with Vice President Osinbajo by not inviting them.

‘’we were not invited to yesterday’s event..that is why all of us didn’t come’’ Abe stated emphatically.

The latest developments confirmed the raging political feud between Minister Rotimi Ameachi and his followers and Governor Nyesome Wike and his supporters and sympathisers for the control of Rivers state remains as brimming as ever.
