Gov Nyesom Wike Again! Impounds Another Bullet Proof Jeep From Rotimi Amaechi’s COS, Tony Okocha, More Targetted!

Governor of Rivers State, Nyesome Wike has seized another bullet proof jeep from another aide of former governor rotimi amaechi.

The target this time is Tony Okocha, the Chief of Staff to the former Rivers State helms man.

A choice vehicle described as ‘an armoured Range Rover’ was taken away from the residence of Okocha while he was out of the state.

The seizure took place at the former Chief of Staff’s Okocha’s residence at Rumuigbo in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area.

The occurrence reportedly transpired at about 9am- and was effected by security operatives attached to Government House.

According to information sourced from Punch, Okocha claimed to be in Abuja to observe the Rivers Election Tribunal when the development transpired

There is growing conflicts over the state of the car at the time of seizure.

Government agent claimed Okocha had demobilised the car removing the four tires and hidden it in his compound to forestall take way.

Punch further reports that the former governor’s Chief of staff claimed otherwise maintaining the high end car is his ‘status symbol’.

A claim Governor Wike’s spokes person, , Opunabo Inko-Tariah punctured claiming ‘As chief of staff, he (Okocha) has no right to use a bulletproof car without leave from government’ and equally confirming the seizure, ‘Yes, a bulletproof Range Rover was recovered from his (Okocha) residence’

This development comes barely 3 weeks after an armoured lexus jeep was taken away from the residence of former commissioner for information Ibim Semenitari in the same manner.

Both Okocha and Semenitari served in the immediate past administration of ex Governor Rotimi Amaechi.

Both Wike and the man he took over from are currently in the throes of intense political rivalry causing a whirlwind of enmities in Rivers state.
