Gov Makinde Escapes Attack By Masked Men In Kogi

The governor of Oyo state Seyi Makinde has escaped an attack by individuals described as ‘’masked men’’ in Kogi state.

The assailants stormed the hotel Makinde who is the chairman of the People’s Democratic Party’s Kogi State Campaign Committee is staying ahead of tomorrow’s election. Makinde’s Chief Press Secretary Taiwo Adisa released details of the development in a press statement that reads in part

“Eyewitnesses confirmed that the hooded security operatives arrived the Suitorial Hotels, Lokoja, located along Stadium Road, Lokoja, where the governor and some members of the PDP Campaign Council are lodged at about 12.50 pm, on Friday, shooting sporadically and attempting to break into the hotel rooms,” the statement said.

“It was gathered the some of the hooded security operatives scaled the fence of the hotel and attempted to enter the rooms.”

Adisa further disclosed that the policemen attached to the governor with the help of residents of the area repelled the invaders.
