Gov Godswill Akpabio Goes Spiritual, Donates ‘Magnificent Church’ To Home Town Ahead General Election

Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Godswill Akpabio has gone spiritual with his politics.

The man contending with growing issues within and outside his People’s Democratic Party over who takes over from him just made a religious donation.

The man known for his generosity with Government money is said to have donated ‘a magnificent church’ to his home town.

The Governor who is seeking to transform into a Senator in the next general elections reportedly perfected the act on behalf of the state, himself and his family’.

The Church gift is revealed as St. Lucy Catholic Church Ikot Ntuen, in Essien Local Government Area.

The church had its official opening and dedication service on Monday December 22 2014.

According to information sourced on Elombah, Akapbio specifically said attributed the donation as a ‘Thank You’ to God for His ‘faithfulness towards me, my family and the entire state.’

He reportedly stated ‘the gift we have presented to the church is done with a contrite heart as God has given us the grace to do so’.

The move is interpreted as seeking spiritual favour in his growing political and personal battles over who controls the state in the coming dispensation.
