Gov Diri & Wives At 14 Annual Thanksgiving Of Solemn Assembly Day

Governor of Bayelsa State, Senator Douye Diri alongside his wives, Dr. Gloria Diri and Justice Ama Patience Diri today attended the 2nd day of the solemn assembly at the Banquet hall, Yenagoa.

The solemn assembly witnessed prayers and soul lifting renditions from pastors and music ministers.

In his sermon, the Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria(CAN), Bayelsa State chapter, Revd. Father Joseph Opelema commended Governor Diri for sustaining the yearly thanksgiving in the state.

The clergy admonished Christians and Bayelsans to always give thanks to God in all situations, emphasizing that giving thanks attracts blessings from our Creator.

Dignitaries at the event were the Speaker of the Bayelsa State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Abraham Ingobere, former military governor of Old Rivers State, King Diette Spiff, immediate past deputy governor, Rear Admiral Gboriagboha John Jonah(Rtd), former deputy governor, Rt. Hon. Peremobowei Ebebi, Leader of the State Assembly, Rt. Hon. Monday Obolo-Bubou, Secretary to the State government, Prof. Nimibofa Ayawei, Chief of Staff, Government House, Dr. Peter Akpe, House of Assembly members, Commissioners, Christian leaders and other top government officials.
