Gov Diri Declares Weekly Propserity Walk Compulsory For All Appointees
“It is a policy of government”
Governor Douye Diri of Bayelsa State has directed all political appointees under the Prosperity Administration to participate in the weekly prosperity walk every Thursday.
Gov. Diri, who stated this today after the exercise at the Samson Siasia Sports Complex, said the walkout would continue to keep them in good health.
“For all government appointees, it is compulsory that you all show up for the prosperity walk. It is a policy of government, and the sports commissioner is hereby directed to monitor attendance of appointees”, Governor Diri stated.
On the recently concluded National Youth Games held in Asaba, Delta State where Team Bayelsa placed 4th in the overall medals table, Governor Diri congratulated all the athletes and renewed his administration’s commitment to the building of a new and modern stadium to encourage more youth participate in sports.
