Gov Declares Work Free Week

The Governor of Zamfara State, Bello Mohammed Matawalle has declared a work-free week from Sunday.

The Governor made the move as part of efforts to enable the public and civil servants in the state to register for their permanent voter’s cards (PVC) ahead of the 2023 general election.

The work-free week is from June 20 to 24, 2022.

The Governor ordered all government appointees, elected officers and traditional rulers to ensure compliance as well as monitor the exercise.

Governor Matawalle in a statement made available by the commissioner for information Ibrahim Magaji Dosara insists that all persons above the age of 18 years are expected to register.
