Governor of Ogun state, Ibikunle Amosun is said to have been drafted into warding off the wife battering scandal drowning loyalist and All Progressive Congress chieftain, Bola Awosanya.

The politician is entangled in a police case that has earned in detention over accusations he battered wife, Victoria to the point of hospitalisation over refusal to attend a social event with him.

Awosanya had reportedly abandoned the victimised mother of his children for sympathisers to tend to while he honoured the engagement.

The heavily bruised wife was reportedly taken for medical care by the sympathetic gate man.

The table turned on the wife batter loyalist of the Ogun state governor when disclosure of the development hit town with shocking pictures.

Family of the victim pressed for justice against Awosanya – and when backing came interested stakeholder and celebrated activist, Joe Okei-Odumakin of Women Arise group, the push for sanction had force.

Awosanya was invited for questioning by the police after the case was indented.

His attempt to wiggle out and increasing pressure on the wife to recant her claims forced the state police hierachy to transffer the case from area of incident in Ishagamu to state force headquarters, Eleweran Ogun state.

Awosanya was detained when he showed up Monday April 28 2014.

The twist in the saga is said to have pressurised drafting in of the influence of his political principal, Governor Amosun.

Sources confirmed the state head man engulfed in a re election fight is said to have directed top aides to explore all efforts at reconciliation to ensure the matter is resolved- the aggrieved pacified- and the growing case against Awosanya put to bed as soon as possible.

An intense move to achieve this objective is confirmed as on at press time.
