Godswill Akpabio Makes U-Turn, Re Anoints Edom Emmanuel As Successor After Secret Allegiance Ceremony

Governor of Akwa Ibom state, Godswill Akpabio just perfected a political somersault.

He has re anointed Secretary to the State Government, Mr Emmanuel Udom as his successor.

This moves comes after what insiders revealed as ‘a secret allegiance ceremony involving the duo and five other cabinet members in the state’

Informants claim the deed was perfected at Akpabio’s country home in Ukana Ikot Ntuen, Essien Udim Local Government Area.

Sources further revealed the ceremony conductor was brought from out of town- and perfected it at night.

The perfected arrangement is described as ‘mbiam’ in local language.

Findings revealed that the aim is secure loyalty of all involved by Governor Akpabio.

He was the chief convener of the development labelled ‘ a mid night meeting’.

According to a source ‘ the ploy is to protect Akpabio’s tenure from probe and prosecution by his Successor- if Udom was install that is’.

Godswill Akpabio’s administration has come under attack for heavy spending, particularly the State chief Executive’s penchant for doling out patronage on personal whims from state coffers.
