was a strategic move to garner support
The governorship candidate of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) in Ondo State, Hon. Olugbenga Edema paid a courtesy visit to the Deji of Akure and Chairman of Ondo State Council of Traditional Obas, Oba Aladetoyinbo Ogunlade Aladelusi (Odundun II) to seek his royal blessings ahead of the forthcoming election.
Accompanied by his deputy, Dr. (Barr) Rotimi Adeyemi, a son of the soil and other party faithful, the NNPP candidate received a warm reception from the traditional ruler.
The visit was a strategic move to garner support from the state’s traditional institutions.
The Deji of Akure, impressed by the NNPP’s manifestos, prayed for the candidate and his team for victory in the forthcoming election.
The traditional ruler lauded the party’s seven-point agenda, particularly its focus on free education and healthcare services. These initiatives align with the monarch’s desire for the state’s development.
Dr. Adeyemi’s connection to the palace as a son of the soil played a significant role in securing the traditional house’s backing. His roots in Akure evoke a sense of pride and ownership, bolstering the NNPP’s chances in the election.
The party’s commitment to education and healthcare resonates deeply with the people. As the election approaches, the people of Ondo State eagerly await their messiah in Olugbenga Omogbemi Edema to rescue the state through his divine agenda mandate.
