Fresh Crisis Rocks Omatek Computers… Staffers Battle M.D, Florence Seriki Over Failure To Remit Taxes, Pension Fund!

Socialite and business woman, Florence Seriki is engulfed in fresh crisis.

Information made available to societynowng.com revealed that the socialite’s business, Omatek Computers is troubled.

Sources confirmed bad run of business has forced the business owner to do away with high earners…and employ others to fill their positions at much reduced rate.

This development transpired in October 2012.

Most of the affected staffers were reportedly advised to resign based on inability of the company to sustain their salaries- the rest were out rightly sacked.
Those affected occupied positions that includes Assistant Supply chain manager, GM Sales, Inventory and account manager, Production Supervisor

Some of the identities involved were given as Segun Sunmonu, Solomon Idowu, Awala Oritshe, Ayomide Olomiye and Kayode Yeku.

Insiders claimed they were owed over eighteen (18) months salary.

There are allegations that Seriki and Omatek did not make arrangement on how to redeem the debt.

Digs by societynowng.com however revealed the affected workers are not taking the development lying low.

They are said to be threatening court action against Omatek and Seriki.

Aside the issue of salary arrears- they are demanding refund of all monies deducted for pension scheme and Payee tax.

This development is said to be causing a lot of hullabaloo for Florence Seriki and her company.

But the socialite and business owner is holding on fast in the face of the adversity based on her response to enquiry on the matter.

Here is her story reproduced ‘You ve wrong info. Only mad person will fire effective staff. Tax deductions are from salaries made by profit centres and I don’t deduct or make money for profit centres …will call’

Her media consultant Abimbola Toki later called to make ‘limited clarifications’.

He claimed ‘people were sacked based on performance’.

Toki was silent on the issue of unremited Tax deductions- and like Seriki failed to talk on that of Pension Fund Scheme as well.
