The bank with Adesola Adeduntan as the Chief Executive Officer made the revelations in a message to customers that reads….

Further to the Central Bank of Nigeria’s (CBN) announcement that the new Naira notes will come into circulation from 15 December 2022, and existing Naira notes will cease being legal tenders from 31 January 2023, please note that in line with our drive to always put You First, a number of our branches nationwide will now provide Saturday banking services to our customers from 10 am – 1 pm, starting from Saturday, 5 November 2022.

It is important to note that

You can start depositing your Naira notes into your FirstBank accounts immediately, there will be no charges for cash returned/paid into your accounts.

The present notes remain legal tenders and should not be rejected as a means of exchange for the purchase of goods and services
