First Bank Says NMulti-million Internet Banking Scam ‘Untrue’, Fails To Clarify Denial
First Bank of Nigeria Plc has denied information that it is currently enmeshed in a Nmulti-million internet banking scam.
The bank made it position known via a text message from public relations person Folake Ani-Mumuney.
The financial institution was however silent on providing details to clarify it’s denial.
Funke simple sent the message ‘this is untrue. I will call you once I’m out of my meetings’.
A week later she is yet to do as specified.
The information at hand is that the internal fraud permeating this and that financial institution is festering at First Bank.
A syndicate is said to be at work irregularly deducting from customers account at will.

Some of the deductions are said to be seemingly insignificant- while others are not.
Some very aware depositors are said to have caught on the trend and make complaints- and started a sensetizing camapign among other customers.
The management of the bank aware of the damage the growing consciousness might do to banking operations are said to be battling to unveil the culprits and put a stop to the practice.
The anomaly being traced to activities of workers at the I.T department is said to have resulted in loss millions of naira to the bank.
