He has been fingered as the primary target of the tough talks in President Muhammadu Buhari’s independence day speech.

President Buhari disclosed that revenue-generating agencies will come under intense scrutiny and there will severe consequences for shortcomings.

“Our revenue-generating and reporting agencies will come under much greater scrutiny, going forward, as the new performance management framework will reward exceptional revenue performance, while severe consequences will attend failures to achieve agreed revenue targets,” Buhari stated.
