Finger Pointing Over Cause Of Petrol Scarcity Rages On As Petroleum Dealers Label Allegations Of Complicit “False Alarm”

Petroleum Dealers Association of Nigeria, Badagry chapter in Lagos has denied the allegation that its members engage in fuel diversion.

While reacting to a recent allegation that members of the association transport fuel-laden tankers to Benin Republic through the Seme border, the association’s Vice-President, Alhaji Ganiyu Adelani, said its members do not engage in such act.

Adelani said that members of the association were disturbed at the news, which he said, is aimed at tarnishing the hard-earned reputation of the members as credible group of people in legitimate business.

“We would ordinarily have maintained silence over this allegation, but we felt our silence could be misconstrued to mean something else. The allegation is a false alarm,” he said
