Information coming the way of societynowng.com have it one of the contenders for the position of national chairman of the people’s democratic party, chief Olabode George is at the centre of a growing insinuation.

In what appears a messy turn in the emerging tussle to determines who becomes the national chairman of the party that was in control of the party for the past 16 years opponents have started casting air of mystery on how George a national vice chairman of the party, southwest zone and major decision maker evaded ongoing probe of elections fund by anti graft agency, Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.
According to information trickling in those attempting to scuttle the efforts of the party chieftain- famously credited with the statement his out of power party would rule for 60yrs- to become national chairman are hinting of alleged underground collaboration with the opposition.

A number of big players in the People’s Democratic Party are currently undergoing investigation or prosecution over handling of funds used to prosecute the last general elections.

The government discovered the money deployed by the political party in charge of the federal government were public funds and were in fact original meant for equipping the military in fight against terrorism.

Many of the party chieftains, who operated at the level of Chief Bode George, and even below, got roped into the mess being investigated by anti graft agency.

Those against his new ambition to become party chairman have started turning the situation against the popular PDP chieftain in emerging campaign insisting as top level player with his influence and clout it is hard to believe ‘’ he was not mobilised to help the party win election, like others currently facing investigation’’.

Societynowng.com learnt the emerging questions have started questioning George’s loyalty to the party with allegations of clandestinely working for the other side quietly shape as his party prepares for national convention on August 17 2016 – in face of a court order secured by another chieftain laying claim to position up for grab, Ali Modu Sherrif, forbidding the move.
