FCMB Clarifies Yemisi Edun’s Role As Person In-Charge While Troubled M.D Adam Nuhu Steps Aside

The management of First City Monument Bank (FCMB) has clarified the role of Yemisi Edun as the person while troubled Managing Director Adam Nuru steps aside.

Contrary to widespread reports that a new Managing Director has been appointed the management of FCMB in a short stated explained: “Mrs Yemisi Edun is Acting as the Managing Director of FCMB in the interim period while Mr Adam Nuru is on leave.”

The Bank in the two-paragraph statement asserted that “She has not been appointed as the substantive Managing Director.”

Edun who is identified as Chief Financial Officer of the Bank takes up the new role on the heels of the forced leave embarked by embattled Nuru to pave way for proper investigation into the paternity mess rocking his world.

Nuru, the substantive Managing Director is alleged to have fathered the two children of Moyo Thomas, while she was an employee of the bank.

Claims that this revelation resulted in the death of Moyo’s husband, Tunde resulted in a major scandal with over one thousand people petitioning for the removal of Nuru as FCMB’s M.D.

The scandal has massively rubbed off wrongly on the bank and forced the management to take actions that have thrown up Edun as the new person in charge – for now.
