The sixth edition of the Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards is just around the corner, African television and movie fans everywhere are besides themselves with excitement. From the glamorous red carpet looks to the tear-jerking acceptance speeches, the AMVCA has become one of the most highly anticipated nights of the year.

1. It is the biggest celebration of outstanding achievements in the African film and TV industry viewed in 50 African countries and in the diaspora
