Faces At 8th-Day Prayer For Popular Ogun Politician Tajudeen Egunjobi

The 8th-day prayer for the late state legislator, Tajudeen Egunjobi, has been held.
It took place on Wednesday, November 13, 2024.
The Fidau prayer was conducted by Islamic clerics, led by Sheikh Sugar, the Wakil of Yorubaland, Edo, and Delta states.

Egunjobi served as a member of the Ogun State House of Assembly from 1999 to 2003, with Muyiwa Oladipo as Speaker.

At the time of his death on Tuesday, November 5, 2024,

he was a special adviser to Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun.

His 8th-day prayer, known as Fidau—he was a Muslim—was held in the state capital, Abeokuta.

Governor Abiodun, in his reaction, described the late politician from Abeokuta South as

a “humble, hardworking, conscientious, dependable, reliable, and very loyal party man.
The Deputy Governor of Ogun State, Noimot Salako-Oyedele; former Deputy Governor Segun Adesegun; former Speakers of the Ogun State House of Assembly, Muyiwa Oladipo and Titi Oseni Gomez; Aare Remi Bakare; members of Governor Abiodun’s executive council; and officials of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) attended the event.
