Senate President, Godswill Akpabio has urged Nigerians to ” exercise a little patience with the new government and give it their support to take Nigeria out of the woods.”

Akpabio made the plea against the backdrop of “expected outcomes” in his Eid-El-Kabir goodwill message released this morning.

The Senate President also salutes “the resilience and patriotism of Nigerians in the face of the current challenges” wrote..

Today, I join the Muslim Ummah and Nigerians in general, to celebrate this year’s Sallah festival.

I felicitate our President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR and Vice president Kashim Shettima GCON, as they celebrate their first Eid-el-Kabir as President and vice president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

I salute the resilience and patriotism of Nigerians in the face of the current challenges facing our nation. We should all see it as part of the process of nation building towards a better tomorrow.

I appeal to us all, to look at the larger picture of the expected outcomes, exercise a little patience with the new government and give it their support to take Nigeria out of the woods.

The 10th National Assembly under my leadership will support the President Tinubu-led government with necessary legislative interventions for the benefit of Nigerians.

Happy celebrations!
