Exclusive! Real Reason Transport Union Boss MC Oluomo Was Stabbed At Campaign For Sanwo- Olu

Musiliu Akinsanya the transport union boss popularly known as MC Oluomo was stabbed at the flag off campaign for the gubernatorial ambition of All Progressives Congress candidate Babajide Sanwo-Olu.

Another transport union top shot Mustapha Adekunle also known as Seego has been declared wanted over the incident by the Police.

Interestingly societynow.ng checks revealed Seego and Oluomo belong to the same faction of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW).

Both street personalities are also confirmed to be great supporters of the political leaning of APC top shot Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

And they – along with other members of the camp such as Koko Zaria (Wasiu Ayinde Oyedepo) – have a common enemy in Kunle Poly, the NURTW branch chairman that enjoys intense backing from state chairman Tajudeen Agbede.

The Agbede camp and Oluomo faction do not see eye to eye, yet Oluomo wants to become the next state Chairman of the NURTW.

All the players are members of the All Progressives Congress in Lagos State.

Societynow.ng gathered that despite lack of support from Agbede, Oluomo looks set to become the Lagos State Chairman of the NURTW in an election scheduled for March 2019.

Insiders disclosed that the reawakening of the perception of ‘’a violent organization ‘’ with the stabbing of Oluomo is primed to force a shift in the election and possible ‘’disqualification’’ of the leading candidates.

Interestingly Seego who is declared wanted for stabbing the transport union top shot is the candidate on Oluomo’s team earmarked to become the next Treasurer of the NURTW societynow.ng gathered.

Societynow.ng’s investigation revealed that the incident that resulted in the stabbing of Oluomo was long in coming with pointers to Kunle Poly as a possible assailant.

There were said to be ‘’brushes ‘’ between the Oluomo camp and Kunle Poly’s faction with one recorded as recent as a week ago.

‘’There was one in Osun during the gubernatorial election and there was one recently at the chieftaincy ceremony of a mutual friend. The Poly faction was on the offensive while Seego and his crew walked away from the engagement’’ a source claimed.

Sources disclosed that a similar scenario played out at the flag off for Sanwo- Olu’s campaign.

Sources disclosed that, however, unlike last week’s episode the Seego camp (with the support of Oluomo ) refused to back down for the Kunle Poly faction – backed by state chairman Agbede – and all hell was let loose.

‘’Obviously, the political patrons were on hand and both sides wanted to prove their strength, hence the fight back’’ a source stated.

Though informants are unsure about who actually stabbed Oluomo, sources claim he was stabbed on the stage while King of Fuji music Wasiu Ayinde was performing.

‘’It was when the fight turned a free for all. One of his police escorts actually shot in the air to ward of the attack but I guess the assailants were resolute beyond the scare of gunshots’’ societynow.ng learned.

The investigation by societynow.ng is however yet to establish why Seego was declared wanted by the police in the attack on his associate.

This is based on an assertion in some quarters that Seego was one of those with Oluomo at Eko Hospital – where the latter was receiving treatment – before he was declared wanted.
