Recently Former Nigeria Breweries Plc Managing Director, Festus Odimegwu suffered a public assault.

And the reason for the ill treatment meted out to the popular nigerian is attributed to ‘debt incurred in the course of a night life of fun’

Informants disclosed the venue of the assault drama as ‘ Aura Night Club’ (Victoria Island, Lagos state).

His assailant is identified as the owner of a just shut down fun place also in Victoria Island.

And some of the witnesses are listed as A-list nigerians Florence Ita Giwa and Annie Okonkwo.

The celebrities were labelled ‘some of those that bailed Mr Odimegwu out of the ‘social disgrace’

A source provides insight into the ‘unbecoming’ episode ‘ Mr Odimegwu was at Aura hosting friends that include Ita Giwa and Okonkwo when his creditor accosted and threatened to disgrace him if he doesn’t pay up right infront of his guests!’

According to information pieced from the narration of the aggrieved creditor at the scene, Odimegwu visited his business place with some friends and ran up bills in the region of N250,000 ( Two hundred and fifty thousand naira )….but he refused to pay over disagreement over an item or two.

Sources claimed ‘ the club owner claimed even when he pleaded with the boss of Quintessentially Nigeria on phone to remove the contentious item from the bill and honour the debt, he refused’

Information further revealed that based on this background ‘the club owner decided to disgrace him into paying the bill on sighting him at another club’

Further digs revealed the former Imo state gubernatorial aspirant was bailed out of the embarrassing situation by his guests.

The likes of Ita Giwa and Annie Okonkwo reportedly pooled resources to pay off the debt and defused the situation- with Odimegwu attempting to maintain his stance via talking his way out of the logjam.
