A report available has it

A great truth is the truth whose opposite is also a great truth. Thus rabble rousers may hop off their hideous coach of malice; it’s about time they accepted the hard, subtle nudge of truth. Femi Fani-Kayode is the quintessential tenant, a perfect boarder of Orji Uzor Kalu’s Abuja mansion.‬

‪Kalu, a former governor of Abia State, in an exclusive chat with The Capital endeavoured to set the record straight concerning the rumours being peddled about him and his incarcerated tenant and former aviation minister, Fani-Kayode. According to Kalu, Fani-Kayode is not owing him a dime and he has no plans to evict the former aviation minister from his Abuja mansion.
Fani-Kayode is a good tenant, Kalu claimed, stressing that the former aviation minister had never defaulted or delayed in paying him rent for occupying his luxurious apartments in Abuja. Kalu said he felt the need to set the record straight and prevent mischief makers from tarnishing the image of his ‘very good tenant’ soon after he read on The Capital website that rumour mongers have accused him of giving Fani-Kayode eviction notice simply because the latter has run into trouble with the law.‬

‪Fani-Kayode, who is currently in detention following his arrest by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over fraud-related charges, was described by his landlord and former Abia governor as the best tenant anyone could have. Kalu revealed that he had been friends with Fani-Kayode since his early teens when they resided in the same neighbourhood. According to him, no amount of mischief can impair the bond he shares with the former aviation minister, either as a childhood friend or tenant.

So, it is official, Kalu has not given Fani-Kayode eviction notice and rumour mongers and makers of mischief should stop rejoicing about the tragic circumstances of Fani-Kayode’s recent incarceration. The former minister of aviation may be down but he is surely not out. He may not have a mansion to his name despite the largesse he enjoyed from the administration of his former principal, Goodluck Jonathan, but he remains a very upstanding tenant.‬
