Former Governor Gbenga Daniel is speedily emerging the most sought after political factor in Ogun state.

And the reason for this attributed to increasing lobby for his support by those seeking visible control of the government the state in 2019.

Just defected back to the All Progressives Congress political actor, Aremo Segun Osoba is keen to recover control from incumbent Ibikunle Amosun who himself is making moves to install a successor.

Both Governor Amosun and Aremo Osoba are back together as Members of the APC though the manner of the former governor’s return
after a political misadventure in Social Democratic Party as fuelled their animosity.

Aremo Osoba is believed to be championing the interest of political leader Asiwaju Bola Tinubu in the state with intent to sponsor the gubernatorial ambition of Senator Solomon Adeola, the anointed candidate by the influential politician.

Political upstart with massive war chest thanks to his background, House of Representatives member Ladi Adebutu the son of immensely wealth promoter of street lottery, Baba Ijebu ( Premier Lotto) Kessignton Adebutu is already working hard to knock the two and any other likely opposition off the scene secure control of the government for self.

Ladi Adebutu is a People’s Democratic Party man.

And there is the case of embattled Senator Buruji Kashamu seeking continued political protection with a view to installing an absolutely loyal aide into the number one office in Oke Mosan.

Not left out of the equation is former Speaker of the Federal House of Representatives, Dimeji Bankola who was outwitted by the Kashamu machinery from becoming party candidate in the PDP in the last general election.

This approach which seen him adopt a fence sitting attitude in the politics of the state has transformed as an attractive target for those hunting for his support to have an edge over others.

The political structure at state won Otunba Gbenga Daniel gubernatorial election against all odds in the face of mountain of opposition thrown at larger than life then incumbent, Aremo Segun Osoba.

The same structure defied the massive influence and interference of President Olusegun Obasanjo to secure re election and conclude his term.

His attempt to install a successor operating within the ambit of guidelines of a gentleman with the structure in the face of ferocious opposition operating without boundaries even recorded a noticeable but result that ended in defeat.

”It is that structure though not hundred percent intact that they are all hunting for” a source stated.
