Ex Bossom Friends, Yemisi Wada, Mo Abudu’s Still Quarrelling Over Stolen Money Maker Idea
The raging acrimony between Yemisi Wada, the former wife of Chief Femi Fani- Kayode, the former minister of aviation and her childhood friend, Mosunmola Abudu, the owner of Ebony TV does not show any sign of abating.
The two society heavyweights are not on talking terms. They would rather wade through a lake of boiling steel than cross each other’s path. It is no secret that their animosity is worsening by the day. The rift has degenerated to the point that friends and associates of the duo have failed to broker peace between them. While some people Mo Abudu
attributed their rancour to a scandal that rocked their clique of friends’ years back, others claimed that was only the last straw that broke the camel’s back. Speculations are that they had been nursing some grudges against each other when Mo started her NGO projects many years ago.
They were once the best of friends especially during their sojourn in London. Theirs was a relationship seemingly made in heaven and consummated on the high street of London. But at a point, sources say their friendship was ruptured due to what they termed as betrayal of trust. We gathered that Yemisi was angry when Mo made incursions into the NGO business, by organizing a benefit concert to cater for the destitute on the streets of Lagos, which some people alleged was Yemisi’s idea. She was understandably aghast when news got to her. The bond that existed between the duo snapped insuppressibly, confirming to the world that indeed, there is a thin line between love and hate.
It is no secret that when news of their disagreement broke out, both hardworking ladies feverishly issued strong denials. They spiritedly engaged in various measures of damage control thus fabricating amazing stories of their inseparableness. It’s often said, a quarrel in the streets is a thing to be hated, the energies displayed in it are fine; the commonest man shows a grace in his quarrel, sometimes. But what if its two noble women drawing their sheathed swords? What if its two friends barring their aristocratic canines, like recalcitrant cats? As you read, Yemisi and Mo are still engaged in a battle of ego and will.
However, to both women, the miasma of peace seems more suffocating than the bracing air of malice. The well-educated women are not ready to sheathe their swords to embrace the peace they have persistently scorned for years.
According to the unconfirmed reports, the former close friends have fallen out with each other for reasons attributed to ego and class. Interestingly, when Yemisi’s daughter, Temitope got married to Jaiye JK Randle some weeks ago, Mo didn’t attend the wedding and when Mo celebrated her 50th birthday last year, Yemisi also didn’t attend.
