Embattled billionaire Jide Omokore has been dragged out of his self-imposed obscurity.

Societynow.ng gathered that Omokore has embraced anonymity since his trial for corruption started.

The chief promoter of the business concern known as Atlantic Drilling Concept Limited is facing multiple charges of fraud and diversion of public funds as well as bribery.

The generous giver – when the going was good – had dug deep underground since his ordeal started.

Omokore shunned friends and associates and appearances at social gathering while his handlers work hard to keep his name off media mentioning insiders disclosed to societynow.ng.

But despite all these measures, the troubled billionaire has been dragged out.

Omokore has been linked to another massive case of fraud and bribery and his named blazed across different news platforms.

Akwa Ibom Senator Albert Bassey is caught in a case of receiving twelve (12) cars worth N254million as bribes between 2010 and 2014.

The Senator is accused of receiving the bribes when he served as the Akwa Ibom State commissioner for finance.

The bribes were allegedly in exchange for doling out government contracts.

And guess the giver of the bribes?

Jide Omokore has been named as the Give.

Both Senator Bassey and Omokore have been dragged to court by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission over the matter.

The situation has proved especially bad for Omokore and his team as it wrecks havoc on all the painstaking efforts of keeping the public glare of the troubled billionaire.
