The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has demanded that the Managing Directors of Banks, their Deputies and Directors should submit their assets declaration forms.
The anti-corruption agency gave the bank chiefs two weeks to comply or face prosecution for defaulting.

A report monitored by societynow.ng on thenationonline.ng revealed that the EFCC made the demand in a letter dated June 1 to the affected persons.
The report explained that demand in inline with “the Bank Employees, Etc. (Declaration of Assets) Act, 1986, which mandates bankers to declare assets upon employment and annually thereafter.”
The move by the EFCC is part of a process that will see other rungs below the Managing Directors and Directors captured.
