Diri Highlights Focus Of His Administration

on completing all ongoing legacy projects across the state

Governor of Bayelsa State, Senator Douye Diri says he is focused on completing all ongoing legacy projects across the state.

Governor Diri who stated this at the 169th state executive council meeting held in Government House Yenagoa, explained that these legacy projects are so necessary to raise the standard of living of the people as well as stand the test of time and be useful to generations yet unborn adding that they will also be tourist potential for the state.

The Governor stated that work on 630 metres Angiama bridge connecting Yenagoa-Oporoma-Ukubie Road will soon be inaugurated. Accordingly, Phase one of the Nembe-Brass Road is almost completed as the Federal Government led by President Tinubu has also paid 30% of the contract sum for commencement of phase 2. The gas turbine will start supplying independent power by December this year, sand filling is almost done with at the 25 thousand capacity stadium in Igbogene and the 9 stories iconic state secretariat will be completed before the end of the administration and more.
