saying it is mobilising Nigerians at home and abroad
A diaspora-based political support group -Future Platform USA- has declared its backing for Seyi Tinubu ahead of the 2027 governorship election in Lagos, saying it is mobilising Nigerians at home and abroad to rally behind his expected bid.
The group, led by Afolabi Adeusi as public secretary, Austine Edafe as president, and Kunle Olaosebikan as spokesperson, said it has begun deploying a coordinated mobilisation structure to build early momentum for the younger Tinubu.
In a statement issued in the United States, the group said its members across the country are working to expand grassroots engagement, strengthen conversations around Lagos’ development trajectory, and encourage wider youth participation in shaping the state’s political future.
As part of its activities, the group announced that a stakeholders’ forum will be held on December 20, 2025, at Shorty Howell Park, 2750 Pleasant Hill Road, Duluth, Georgia 30096, beginning at 7pm prompt.
The event is expected to bring together members of the Nigerian community across the United States to further discuss political engagement and security concerns affecting citizens.
Checks revealed that different e-posters are being deployed across social platforms as part of the strategy to deepen awareness, drive engagement, and consolidate support for Seyi Tinubu’s potential candidacy.

The group also reaffirmed its commitment to supporting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s reelection bid in 2027, describing his administration as one working to stabilise the economy, enhance national security and strengthen governance systems.
According to the organisers, the push for Seyi Tinubu aligns with their belief that Lagos requires continuity, youth-driven leadership, and a governance outlook that builds on existing infrastructure and development projects.
They added that more activities will be unveiled in the coming months to consolidate mobilisation efforts across Nigeria and the diaspora.
