Canaanland, the international headquarters of the popular christian ministry Living Faith Church Worldwide will be affected by the ongoing road expansion by the Ogun state government.
Living Faith Worldwide is the official name for the highly popular ministry informally known as Winners Chapel with Bishop David Oyedepo as founder – and headman.
Located in Ota in Ado Odo- Ota, Local Government area of Ogun state, Canaanland sits on over 560 acres (2.3 km2) of land with a long and all encompassing fence.
Information at hand revealed that parts of the all encompassing fence are to be pulled down and a bit of incursion made into Canaanland as the road expansion programme on the Idiroko expressway gets underway.
The information at hand revealed that two sides of the expressway are being expanded on the very long stretch from Sango to Atan.
Houses and shopping malls are being demolished to provide ample space.
The property owners on the other side of the road where Canaanland is located have suffered the same fate.
The talks are that talks are ongoing to determine the extent of the damage Canaanland would suffer before it is touched by the demolition team,
There are claims that the consideration of putting up a bridge around the place by the government added to the need for “talks”.
