The feared political structure of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu known as the terror of opposition is hard at work.

Insiders disclosed that the structure’s immediate target is former President Goodluck Jonathan.

And the objective is to give the former president a renewed dose of the treatment that made him unelectable in 2015.

Insiders disclosed that this agenda is already being carried out on different fronts.

Societynow.ng gathered the reason for this development is simple.

Powerful interests circling President Muhammadu Buhari are pushing for Jonathan as a likely successor in 2023.

Sources disclosed that those behind this ‘’objective’’ after weeks of pushing out narratives that favor it underground have taken the notion public with tentative steps in the media.

This move is directly against the ambition of Asiwaju Tinubu whose men are already hard at work openly campaigning for him.

Societynow.ng gathered that the move against Jonathan by Tinubu’s men will passionately feast on all the sentiments that earned the former president the tag ‘’clueless’’ and ‘’indictment on President Buhari’s sense of judgment to make such a call’’ while those pushing for Jonathan as a likely successor to Buhari hinge their campaigns on claims that later events proved that the former President meant well for the nation because the template fashioned by his government has been of tremendous help to the current administration and he is not a power monger.

‘’Tinubu is considered one of the biggest power monger around, he is believed to serve only his interests which is why even those he helped to positions are wary of him of making him the President, including Buhari’’ societynow.ng learned.

Muhammadu Buhari with excessive supports from Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and his feared political structure defeated then-incumbent President Goodluck Jonathan in the 2015 presidential election to become Nigeria’s number one citizen.

Buhari contested the election as the candidate of the All Progressives Congress while Jonathan was the flag bearer of the People’s Democratic Party.

‘’What is clear is that, with what almost happened in Ogun when (Ibikunle) Amosun opposed his party (APC) and promoted the candidate of another party (APM) as preferred successor and still remained in the president’s good book, what happened in Edo with the Gov Obaseki (Godwin) dumping APC to get re-election on the platform of another party (PDP) and subsequently hosted by the President, it is obvious that Buhari is not particular about (political) parties but people..so his successor is not likely to be about which party but who. The president’s perception about his successor irrespective of the party he or she belongs would play a vital role’’ societynow.ng learned.
