Iyiola Omisore , the former National Secretary of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) is the focus many political watchers in Osun state.

SocietyNow.Ng gathered that this development is on the heels of the recent action of the immediate past Minister for Interior, Rauf Aregbesola.

Aregbesola, a former two-term governor of Osun state has returned to take greater interest in the affairs of the APC.

“Aregbesola has settled in Osun state and is calling for reconciliation, and harmony to move the party forward. The reality however is that the move will takeaway the influence and power of Omisore at the local lever” SocietyNow.Ng learned.

Information available revealed that Gboyega Oyetola, the immediate past Governor of Osun state and Omisore, a former deputy governor have an arrangement in place.

“The arrangement leaves Omisore to handle the bulk of the local politicking but Oyetola takes all the credit in public. Omisore is the behind the scene person while Oyetola is public face of the party’s leadership. It is a convenient arrangement, especially with Aregbesola as a common enemy” SocietyNow.Ng gathered.

Insiders disclosed that with Aregbesola’s return to Osun state – with a homecoming decorated with activities that tell of massive following – and calls for reconciliation is threatening the arrangement.

“The talks are Omisore is in direct line to take the biggest hit with the planned reconciliation with Aregbesola and the party the biggest gainers” SocietyNow.Ng learned.

“All eyes are on Omisore to see how he will handle the situation” SocietyNow.Ng gathred.

Without, Aregbesola’s support – Oyetola backed by Omisore failed to secure a second term in office.

Sources disclosed that though Aregbesola’s “proposal” is seen as good for the party to become formidable in Osun, the biggest kick against it is that the former minister is the projected biggest gainer compared to Oyetola and Omisore.
