Access Bank Chief Executive Officer Herbert Wigwe has his work cut out for him for the next three years.

Wigwe, 55-his last birthday was august 15, 2021-, is expected to cut down on social engagements to be able to meet the deadline.

Societynow.ng gathered that the Alumnus of the Harvard Business School who has a degree in Accountancy from the University of Nigeria and an MA in Banking and Finance from the University College of North Wales (now Bangor) needs to achieve – or be seen to have virtually done it – the target of establishing Access Bank in 22 countries within this period.

The information at hand revealed that this is a major goal the highly rated Bank who became the CEO at Access Bank in January 2014 is working very hard towards.

Societynow.ng learned that behind this goal is the larger objective of making Access Bank a heavy player in Africa’s large trade undertakings.

The digs by societynow.ng revealed that though his plan to achieve this end-result is already translating to success, Wigwe who has a strong voice in the community of Bank CEOs (he is regarded as the most powerful bank boss around) has just three before he leaves office.

The law guiding the operations of his industry only permits a single person to occupy the position of CEO for 10years and Wigwe has already spent seven years filled with accolades for exemplary performance at different times including “CEO Of The Year’. “Bank Of The Year” and the historical back-to-back “Karlsruhe Sustainable Finance Awards” in Germany,

The Bank CEO who started his career at Coopers & Lybrand as a management consultant had a spell at Capital Bank and spent over a decade at GTBank where he forged his status as the master in Corporate and Institutional banking and became the Executive Director in charge of Institutional Banking is married to the beautiful and soul calming Chizoba Wigwe -nee Nwuba.

The couple has four children – Chizi, Tochi, Hannah, and David.
