Emerging details have revealed the mood is the much anticipated Ondo gubernatorial election gets underway.

Sources disclosed the tension is not as high as anticipated in most parts of the state.

Societynow.ng gathered that the presence of security operatives is ‘’ massive’’.

Voters are not adhering to the Covid-19 protocol as regards the use of face mask and physical distancing.

The accreditation and voting process is labeled ‘’a bit slow’’.

Deputy Governor Agboola Ajayi who is the candidate the Zenith Labour Party battled rumor of withdrawal from the gubernatorial contest early this morning.

He has denied it, but the rumor has certainly not boosted his chances in the contest.

All the main contenders: Governor Rotimi Akeredolu of the People’s Democratic Party, Eyitayo Jegede of the People’s Democratic Party, and Agboola Ajayi of the Zenith Labour Party are yet to cast their votes at 9.30 a.m.

All the parties are already accusing one another of vote-buying.
