Popular Lagos King, the Ayangburen of Ikorodu Oba Kabiru Adewale Shotobi has taken a side in a fight between two of his prominent subjects.

The Tokunbo Abiru and Babatunde Gbadamosi, two main contenders for the bye-election to determine the successor of late Senator Bayo Osinowo popularly known as Pepper are from Ikorodu.

Abiru, the former Chief Executive Officer of Polaris Bank is the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) while Gbadamosi the serial gubernatorial aspirant is the candidate of the main opposition political party, People’s Democratic Party (PDP).

Ayangburen, the traditional ruler of Ikorodu expected to be a father for all has shown he is partisan in the fight for the Lagos East Senatorial position.

The Ayangburen sitting on the respected throne of his forefathers was pictured holding the flag of the ruling All Progressives Congress during a courtesy visit by Tokunbo Abiru as part of efforts to galvanize supports ahead of the Saturday, October 31, 2020, Senatorial Bye-Election.

The picture is being circulated as part of an underground campaign for Abiru, the APC candidate insiders disclosed.
