Details: Pantami Did Not Make Federal Executive Council Meeting Discussion

The weekly Federal Executive meeting did not discuss the controversy surrounding Minister of Communication and Digital Economy, Isa Pantami.

Pantami is enveloped in a mess over his dredged-up past utterances glorifying Al-Qaeda and Taliban.

He has since renounced the comments but this has not stopped increasing calls for his removal from office.

While the embattled minister maintains a sit-tight approach for the controversy wane, Minister for Information Lai Mohammed revealed that the issue did not make discussion at the weekly Federal Executive Council meeting today, Wednesday, April 21, 2021.

Reacting to a direct question on the subject in a report monitored by societynow.ng on thenationonlineng.net, Mohammed stated “I’m not going to go into the issue of whether government is comfortable or not. I will answer your question directly. It was not discussed at the council meeting.”
