The priceless crown of the Olu of Warri remains missing.
This development is as the planning coronation of the king designate Tsola Emiko draws nearer.
Emiko is expected to be crowned in July 2021 but the priceless crown that would seal his status remains missing.
The 410-year-old crowns – for the King and his Queen – got missing about two weeks ago.
The crown was discovered missing from the palace in the face of an intense fight to determine who sits on the throne as the new Olu of Warri.
The confounded chiefs and other stakeholders have reported the matter to the police.
A report monitored by societynow.ng on thenationonline.net revealed the Zone 5 Headquarters of the Nigerian Police Asaba, Delta state is in charge of the investigation to recover the missing crowns.
The development has been widely branded a sacrilege in Warri and many dread the Crowns not found before the July coronation date for the new king designate, Tsola Emiko.
