Details: Labor Congress Insists On September 28 Strike, Protest Over F.G’s Failure To Reverse Electricity Tariff, Fuel Price

The Nigeria Labour Congress is insisting on its strike and protests against the hike in electricity tariff and increase in pump price of petrol by the Federal Government.

This development is against the backdrop of the Federal Government’s refusal to give in to demand by the Labour Congress to reverse the increases.

The general strike and protests are scheduled for Monday, September 28, 2020.

According information monitored by societynow.ng on Punchng.com, the National Executive Council of the NLC at a meeting in Abuja unanimously agreed to go ahead with the plan.

The news platform credits the confirmation to NLC President Ayuba Wabba.

According the NLC President the chairmen of the 36 states and FCT chapters of the NLC voted in favor of the planned protest and strike.
