The Deputy Governor of Osun state Benedict Alabi was ambushed by protesters earlier today.

The Number two citizen of Osun State was on his way to the office when his convoy was literarily hijacked.

Societynow.ng gathered that members of the Judiciary Staff Union of Nigeria (JUSUN)  agitating for the full implantation of financial autonomy for the Judiciary blocked the convoy of the Deputy Convoy on the way to work today, Thursday April 22, 2021..

The Union members who marched from High Court, Oke – Fia to Customary Court onward Federal High Court opposite the State House of Assembly at Gbongan/ Osogbo road ambushed the Deputy Governor’s convoy on their way to the Osun State secretariat.

Alabi’s convoy made up of five cars was reportedly forced to move with the protesters at snail speed.
The protesters refuse entreaties from security details attached to deputy governor to make way for the convoy.

The information monitored by societynow.ng on thenationonlineng.net, however, revealed respite came the way of the Osun Deputy governor through the smart thinking of his drivers.

The convoy reportedly exploited a chance created by the uncoordinated protesters at a petrol station close to the Government Secretariat, Abere.

The vehicles riding bumper to bumper reportedly sped through “the first entrance of the filling station and exit through the second gate” and escaped the protesters societynow.ng learned from the report on thenationonlineng.net.
