The master entrepreneur has ramped up his life-touching gestures since he returned home with his family for the yuletide.
His high-impact interventions, spreading joy within and beyond the community, are highlighted by the donation of 1,800 (one thousand eight hundred) bags of rice to the people of his community—Onicha-Uku.

The large-hearted giving, which reached beneficiaries including the traditional councils, village clans, youths, faith-based organizations, non-indigenes, and educational institutions, was carried out in a process that ensured the safety of lives and property, to widespread applause from many far and near.
A window into the massive commendations for the high-impact gesture by the chairman of the financial powerhouse catering to the needs of over 45 million customers globally, United Bank for Africa (UBA), was provided by the Ede of Onicha-Uku, Steve Osakwa (who is also a beneficiary).
Osakwa, speaking on behalf of the traditional ruler of the community, His Royal Highness Michael Agbamuche, declared: “It is something we are very happy about. Yes, he has been doing this, but this year’s own is higher and better than what he has done before, and we are so grateful.”
His position was supported by the Onicha-Uku Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) Chairman, Uwaje Azubike, who thanked the prominent Nigerian on behalf of the entire organization, amid showers of prayers for enduring prosperity.

Also included in the list of appreciations was the Provost of the College of Nursing, Onicha-Uku, Maria Ngozi Olisa, who represented the Federal Medical Centre Asaba and the Chief Medical Director, Victor Osiatuma, as well as the entire management and students of the school. She thanked the extraordinary businessman for his unceasing support for the school, management, and students.
This gesture by Elumelu adds to his unrelenting pursuit of a better Nigeria and Africa. It has seen him become increasingly visible in the global campaign for shared prosperity, with his key vehicle for transformative change, the Tony Elumelu Foundation, empowering 20,000 young men and women and creating more than 40,000 direct and indirect jobs across the continent.
