Details As Rite Takes A Major Blow In Fierce Sausage Rolls Battle Against Gala & Others

Rite has taken a major blow in the raging sausage roll battle in Nigeria.

Street traders who are vital in the marketing and distribution chain are refusing to take the sausage with a shiny coer because of the not so attractive sister product Bigi.

Societynow.ng gathered based on the huge demand for Rite which is a top player in the sausage roll battle, the manufacturer devised a means to further push Bigi sausage roll into the market by insisting that suppliers have to make traders take a certain amount of Bigi when they order for Rite.

Sources disclosed that the traders refused to abide by this rule while the suppliers backed by the manufacturer remained adamant.

“This has resulted in the boycott of Rite and Bigi by the traders for some days in certain parts of Lagos state” societynow.ng learned.

This development implies that Gala, Superbite , Beefie, Yum Yum, and other sausage rolls fighting for relevance against Rite have a better chance of claiming the top spot.

“The traders are banking on the theory that buyers will buy what they see, especially in the face of the need for a quick bite to assuage their hunger and this overtime will through up another favorite that would take care of their profit margin” societynow.ng learned.

It is not clear how long the suppliers backed by the manufacturers will hold out against the street traders who are major marketers of their products.
